Getting a Javascript Error on Videos?

Published by Wendy under Problem Solving

If you’ve been getting an error message regarding enabling javascript or downloading the latest version of flash when trying to access videos online, you’re not alone.  Here is the full text of the message:

The Camtasia Studio video content presented here requires JavaScript to be enabled and the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player. If you are you using a browser with JavaScript disabled please enable it now. Otherwise, please update your version of the free Flash Player by downloading here.

When I first received it I did the obvious - downloaded the lastest version of Flash Player.

Nope, that didn’t work.  OK, then lets go check my IE settings.  Nope, that’s not the problem either.  Darn… so, I just figured it was a problem on that site.

That is until I got the same thing trying to view videos I had just created with Camtasia Studio 5!!  Knowing I was putting videos online and I was having a problem myself, I figured I’d better come up with an answer.

If you’ve all ready confirmed you have javascript enabled for your browser, and I’m guessing you do if you haven’t had a problem viewing videos until just recently, then try this.

1.  Uninstall the Flash Player using the Flash Player Uninstaller

2.  Reboot your machine

3.  Download the latest version of Flash Player and install it.

4.  You may need to reboot after you install it also.

Once I did that I was good to go. :-)

I’m also includeing the links to several support tickets I found on Camtasia’s website.  You might find them helpful if my instructions above didn’t take care of the problem

Error: The Camtasia Studio video content presented here requires JavaScript to be enabled and the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

Internet Explorer 7 does not play my Flash Files

Viewing Express Show Videos produce an error: The Camtasia Studio video content presented here requires JavaScript…

Welcome

Published by Wendy under General

Welcome to KISS Videos!

One of the major frustrations of newcomers to Internet Marketing is how many products jump right into the middle of things rather than guiding you from start to finish.  No one can provide you everything you need to know for every product, but I hope to provide you a whole lot more of the steps than you’ve had before.

The Learning Pyramid indicates you remember

  • 5% from lectures
  • 10% from reading
  • 20% from hearing and seeing
  • 30% from demonstrations
  • 50% from group discussions
  • 75% by doing
  • 90% by teaching others

My goal is to reach the 50% mark.  At KISS Videos you’ll be getting written material telling you how and videos demonstrating what you read.  The group discussion comes in the way of forums where you can ask questions of me as well as other members.  There’s nothing like being able to exchange information with others interested in the same thing.

Please stay tuned for the opening of KISS Videos!

Let me know what information you need and I’ll add it to my list.
